Hyundai Tucson

2004 was the year of birth of Hyundai’s new baby Tucson!  As the car industry evolves into more SUVs and fewer sedans, car manufacturers like Hyundai keep expanding their feel with new models for every possible segment. Tucson comes to fill a place between Hyundai’s Santa Fe and Kona.

Who will imagine that the Tucson will become Hyundai’s best-seller SUV with more than 7 million units sold!

The new 2022 Tucson is a game-changing compact SUV, it gives you tons of features and a new exterior design for a very low price around $24K.

As carmakers are successful with car models like the Tucson, they understand that just like Rock Stars, you are as good as your last concert, or your last record.  Carmakers’ popularity is based on their new production. Car buyers forget the past, therefore every new car model must be amazing and better than its predecessor.  The new Tucson has to be better than all previous Tucson SUVs.

Reinventing cars that are already successful is a key part of the work of Hyundai and other automakers.  So what are you going to do to make the new 2020 Tucson more attractive? to keep it the best selling? competition gets harder and harder every day, car technology keeps evolving, so how is Hyundai going to give us an amazing Tucson that will keep up with the previous 7 million units sold?

Probably the answer for 7 million units sold includes answers like great pricing and value, starting at a low price for $24K, a great modern look with a beautiful exterior design, a good engine with enough horsepower, a great long warranty, and tons of standard features, several trims to select, hybrid and non-hybrid Tucson cars.

New 2022 Hyundai Tucson Production

The new Tucson is definitely better than its previous generations. The new Tucson crossover is ready and better.

The new generation Hyundai Tucson is produced at the 2022 Tucson has begun at Hyundai’s Montgomery, Alabama plant in the United States. This is the first time a Tucson has been manufactured in the United States, and for the first time, the plant is producing four cars at the same time, including the Sonata, Elantra, and Santa Fe.

Hyundai expanded its plant to house the 2022 Hyundai Tucson crossover assembly line, foreseeing the new Tucson crossover will be a huge success in sales.

Up to 33 MPG Highway

Tucson’s new exterior styling is bolder than it looks, with body-side pleats, a striking front grille, and new taillights with light bars that extend across the entire rear of the vehicle. The 2022 Tucson features an edgy and aggressive look based on parametric shapes, reflecting Hyundai’s new design identity.

This new grill incorporates daytime running lights. The two outer columns of triangular trim that appear to compose the grille with disguised LED lights, when off, are indistinguishable from the rest of the grille. It seems that he will share it with the Holy Cross.

With added roominess, technological improvements, and a makeover, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson has a good advantage over the previous model and over some of its competitors.

Starting MSRP $24,950

The new lights seamlessly integrate into Tucson’s parametric jewel grille, it looks sharp and modern.

New design highlights for the 2022 Tucson include the latest evolution of Hyundai’s signature headlight architecture called ‘Parametric Hidden Lights’ and a crew cab design that offers a custom space intuitively optimized for a user experience of high technology.

Overall, the new Tucson bodywork is larger and wider than previous-generation models, offering a long hood and short overhangs on an elongated wheelbase that lends it a coupe character.

From the side, the angled body panels offer another interpretation of the parametric design.

The chiseled surfaces create a striking contrast between the sleek silhouette and the masculine wedge, suggesting forward movement even when stationary.

The taut athletic forms blend seamlessly into the angular wheel arches where the alloy wheels provide a powerful and dynamic stance of this new SU

New style with more space

The Tucson is much larger than its previous model, adding 6.1 inches of overall length, 3.4 inches of wheelbase, and 0.6 inches of height and width, much bigger!

The extra roominess has been moved to the interior, which sees a big jump in cargo capacity to 38.7 cubic feet, compared to 31.0 cubic feet with the seats up and 74.8 cubic feet with the seats folded down.

Trims and Pricing for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson

One of the best marketing strategies from Hyundai is pricing, it seems that the Korean automaker can produce a car for every budget.  You can buy a new 2021 Tucson SE starting at $24K, but if your budget allows more spending then you can buy the top-of-the-line Limited or Hybrid Limited starting at 34K and 37K.

Even if you decide to go for the base model, you can be sure to enjoy tons of standard features and driving a brand new car with an extended long warranty. Who doesn’t; like the smell of a new car? You can buy a new Hyundai Tucson just for $24K, a great deal!

The Tucson lineup includes 3 regular gasoline trims and 3 hybrid trims.  Hybrid models are more expensive but you will save the additional price with very good fuel economy when driving a hybrid.

Competition

The new Tucson of 2022, competes with compact SUVs like the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Nissan Rogue, Ford Escape, in a hot segment of mid-size SUVs.

The new Tucson has Hyundai’s support, including a great warranty, good exterior design, very low maintenance, and good quality. Buyers who follow Hyundai will find the new Tucson as a great buying choice.

2022 Tucson Better Performance

The new 2022 Tucson models with an internal combustion engine will be produced at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing plants in Alabama (HMMA) and Ulsan, Korea.

The new Tucson appeals to those who actively support the integration of technology into their lifestyle; these open-minded consumers readily embrace new technologies as a way to immediately integrate and improve their lives. Four-wheel drive capability is an example of technologies that facilitate their active lifestyles, which often include inclement weather, hostile terrain, and active outdoor adventures.

The new Tucson will be offered with three different powertrains but I have only the gasoline and hybrid versions available for testing. The Tucson PHEV will be released after the other two versions.

The gasoline version with its 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine generates 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid has a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with more power than the standard gasoline engine, with 180 horsepower, 195 pound-feet of torque, and 226 horsepower with the addition of the electric motor.

Both Tucson’s powertrains employ traditional transmissions including an 8-speed automatic for the gas model and a 6-speed automatic for the hybrid Tucson model.

All-wheel drive is standard for the hybrid model, while the gasoline model comes with front-wheel drive by default and an all-wheel drive is an option on all trim levels.

The gasoline engine is offered in SE, SEL, and Limited trims, while the hybrid comes in Blue, SEL Convenience, and Limited. The Blue and SEL Convenience are based on the SE and SEL gasoline models, but with an added option package.

Horsepower near 190 is very good! The new Tucson is powerful and versatile
